My keys were on the table,
\nNow I don\u2019t know where they are,
\nAnd that\u2019s a bit of a problem,
\nI need keys to drive my car.
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find them,
\nI know just what to do,
\nI will go and get my phone,
\nThen I\u2019ll be calling you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My phone was on the counter,
\nNow I can\u2019t find it at all,
\nAnd that\u2019s a bit of a problem,
\nSince I need to make a call.
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find it,
\nI\u2019ve something else to grab,
\nThen I can step outside,
\nAnd hail myself a cab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My wallet was on the desk,
\nLast time I saw it yesterday,
\nBut now I don\u2019t know where it is,
\nAnd I have no money to pay.
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find it,
\nI\u2019m not one to balk,
\nThe weather\u2019s not too bad today,
\nMaybe I\u2019ll just walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I tossed my jacket somewhere,
\nLast time I came inside,
\nBut now it seems elusive,
\nAnd I\u2019ve searched far and wide.
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find it,
\nI can be so bold,
\nAs to brave the elements alone,
\nBecause it\u2019s really not that cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My shoes were in the dining room,
\nOr, maybe over there,
\nBut now I don\u2019t know where they are,
\nAnd I need something to wear.
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find them,
\nIt doesn\u2019t worry me,
\nI\u2019ll just stay home today,
\nAnd watch movies on TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remotes were in the living room
\nBut somewhere they\u2019ve ALL gone,
\nAnd without at least one control,
\nI can\u2019t turn the TV on!
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find them,
\nI like to be well read,
\nSo, I\u2019ll just go grab my book,
\nAnd crawl back into bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My bed was in the bedroom,
\nI know that it was there,
\nWhere did all those clothes come from,
\nPiled up everywhere?
\nBut, if I can\u2019t find a place,
\nTo rest and still abide,
\nI can exit and enjoy,
\nA little time outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My neighborhood is nice enough,
\nBut, now I\u2019m feeling mocked;
\nFor when I stepped myself outside,
\nThe door behind me locked.
\nOf course, I like the sunshine,
\nI like the gentle breeze,
\nBut, I\u2019ve got things I need do,
\nAnd I\u2019d love to find my keys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a high IQ,
\nReally, yes, I do.
\nMy neurons fire far and wide,
\nMy brain is brilliant deep inside,
\nI\u2019m often victorious in things I\u2019ve tried.
\nMost people think I\u2019m smart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You want to make a pun?
\nWe can have hours of fun!
\nJust say one thing,
\nAnd I will bring,
\nThe wit war zing.
\nNo one can match me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a master list,
\nOf things to do I\u2019ve missed.
\nBut, when I move from here to there,
\nI see other things for which I care,
\nGreat opportunities everywhere!
\nI often get distracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started toward the kitchen,
\nTo put a blue bowl in the sink,
\nBut, walking by the refrigerator,
\nI decided to get a drink.
\nBut, a dirty towel on the counter,
\nCalled out to my brain,
\n\u201cTake me now, and wash me!\u201d
\nHow could I refrain?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I gathered up a load of clothes,
\nWhites and colors, friends and foes,
\nTossed them in with soap? Who knows?
\nWhatever, I will check later,
\nSince now I am playing the piano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there is a blue bowl sitting beside me on the bench.
And the washer is silent.
And I want cookies.
Did I already fix cookies?
Hmm, I wonder what is on TV?
Hey, my phone just buzzed, so don\u2019t bother me,
I am laser focusing my powerful mind on the task at hand!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
